Losing it.
Dress from Pull & Bear and Bag from Forever 21.
Mummy dearest bought these for me, but only because she wants the bag for herself too. Haha.
As quoted from miss cindee. Hope you don't mind! (:
Spring!
Singapore is sunny all year round and we do not have seasons here, unless you want to count sunny days and rainy days as seasons. But really, other than not being able to bundle up for winter, we can still celebrate the other seasons in style! For spring, I'm thinking classic florals, romance, nude colors, pink, ruffles, bows, basically an overload of femininity. Anyhow, I created some spring outfits I'd love to own.
And then I started playing around with floral illustrations as backgrounds..
And if you're drowning in an overdose of girliness but would still love to have a tinge of spring in your outfit.. what about a Jean Paul Gaultier floral bustier top and Thomas Wylde Floral Studded Bag for you?
Spring must-haves - floral tights!
Last but not least, I end with.. "I want this!!"

Hotness.
Christian Lacroix the costumier.
Blouse from Miss Selfridge and Skirt from Forever 21.
To the National Museum to check out the Christian Lacroix exhibition today. In Asia for the very first time! I wouldn't mind wearing most of the costume pieces that he designed for the various opera, ballet and theatre!
The Gallery.
And look at my new platforms from Aldo at 40% off from the Sales section! I am the ideal candidate as the kia-su ambassador of Singapore. When I enter a store, I immediately race over to the Sales section. But then again, who wouldn't? (: Anyway, I have to stress that the photos just don't do justice!
Sorry for the disgusting popping veins on my feet. I've been walking around the whole day so the walking has really taken its toll on my feet.
Without experience or expertism.
Thrifted the Mango jacket from the Salvation Army, White top from Mango, and high-waist shorts from Cotton On.
So Cotton On opened its doors for temp jobs interviews for the upcoming Great Singapore Sales today. The given interview slots were 9am, 11am, 2pm and 4pm respectively so I decided to go for it and attend the 11am one. When I arrived at the location, I was put off by the "Applications closed. Please come again." sign (I wasn't really pissed off initially, but the more I think about it, the more absurd it gets). Apparently there were a lot of people who went for the 9am slot (they were there at like 730am I heard, like WHAT?!) and they decided to close the application.
This just isn't right. If they have given the time slots for the interviews, they should have secured a certain number of vacancies for each slots! I know they said to come early because there's limited (50) vancancies, but I went for the second time slot! Now tell me, what's the use of giving so many time slots then? =/
The boyfriend: I bet you're gonna blog about this.
You bet I did!
Ps: I still like Cotton On though, haha! Just needed to rant.
Pps: Working at the gallery tomorrow again!
The girl in the green scarf.
Caught Confessions of a Shopaholic with a girlfriend today. Isla Fisher is so cute! Wore my caged heels instead of the meshed heels. Luckily I did, there was a fair bit of walking done today.
A lousy hurried shot of the gallery with the ceiling before my camera died on me.
Those legs. Damn.

So today I went to a client of a friend's friend's art gallery to help out with sorting out the paintings (and to earn some hard cash) for its opening on Thursday. It was hard work, but it was a pretty fruitful experience. The gallery was small but looks really chic. Too bad my camera died on me just when I tried to take a second photograph. ):
Ps: To answer some of your questions, my top is pretty sheer actually, and I bought it off online. The ring on my middle finger is from a flea market and the one on my thumb is.. I forgot, heh. I don't use a DSLR camera, but on the other note, I merely just photoshop the shallow depth-of-field and the brightness of my photographs. Thank y'all for your lovely comments! I really, really appreciated it. (:
Disheartening.
Sushi buffet with the boyfriend this evening to celebrate our 3 years and 8 months anniversary. Yea, we do celebrate every month with a simple dinner. Heh.
The wind was crazy when I was shooting those photographs, haha.
Ps: It's pretty sad to see so little comments when there's a sturdy number of viewership every day. Please do comment even if to say a hello! (:

Are you sure that's where you want to go?
Accompanied a girlfriend to check out some overseas university exhibition today and had a talk about what we really want in our future. I'm still pretty stressed up with the decisions that I have to make and what the future holds. It's funny how I am 20 (actually my birthday isn't here yet so I am still forever 19, for now, haha) but I think like a 30-year-old.
Those caged heels are the most comfortable pair of heels. I could walk around town the whole day wearing it and still feel comfortably fine. And argh, I exceeded my photobucket account bandwidth and the logos are disgusting. ): Photos will only be up on the 26th, I think!

FleaFlyFloFun.
Today's the day, set up a stall with the sister to clear away some of our old stuffs at Home Club. Took plenty of photographs and bought some stuffs too, how ironic when I'm there to make some money, hahaha.
Bought a pair of pink tie-dye I-don't-know-what-to-call-it. I can slip it on anywhere, my arms (like hand-warmers, except that it does not really keep your hands warm).. my legs (like leggings), very versatile. Bought another pair in tie-dye black too!
And thank you to the boyfriend who's always around to help out whenever I need him! (:

I want those bangs.
Going to a flea.

If you're in the area, you might want to head down to the FleaFlyFloFun flea market at Home Club tomorrow, from 3pm to 10pm. Local DJs will be spinning from 3pm and specials on drinks ($3 soft drinks. $6 beer/housepour, non-premier). I'll be sharing a stall with my sister selling supplier goods and preloved items. Cheap items yes!
Ps: Wanted to share this fab news with everyone, I got a 4 for my GPA! Full marks! I'm equally shocked and proud of myself. :D
Movie Date.
Impromptu movie date with the boyfriend today. Caught Hotel for Dogs, the dogs are.. awwwwwwwwwwwwww! Just too cute. Made me want to head over to one of my girlfriend's to play with her Toy Poodle right away, heh.
A rose is a diamond is a ring.
Too weak for my dreams.
I've been contemplating between undertaking a university business degree or a fashion management diploma/degree ever since my mum said to me, "Why not choose something related to fashion? Since you're so interested.." So today I checked out a local arts school and when I found out about the school fees, my heart sank. Because I have already used up my government tuition grant for my polytechnic education, this meant that I had to pay the full fee amount which is around 17.5k per year.
Quote unquote AJ, "I sometimes wish i went crazy and did fashion instead".
Check out my new neon pink earrings!

A girl can dream, right?
On Ebay.
If you have some cash left to spare, you might want to check out the Magnolia Family Vintage ebay store. There's not much variety but I've already picked out 4 items I would love to buy (if I have the money. I am totally living on my savings now, the consequence of being jobless and with no allowance). The only downside is that apparently shipping is more expensive than the clothes itself if you ship outside US/Canada.
My picks:
Guy Laroche Wool Coat
Neon Windbreaker
Black Satin (synthetic blend) One-piece Pants Jumper
Jodhpur/harem Style Pants

Hidden treasures.
The houndstooth vest was my mum's from about 20 years ago. She had tons of vests, and obviously I had the "obligations" to inherit those from her. Hahaha. And I like the Adidas t-shirt that the boyfriend wore today. Very unique design. On a closer look you can see a somewhat watermark-like "Adidas" splashed diagonally across the t-shirt.
Fashion Week Finale.

I can't help but ogle at this photo, I don't know why. Both are equally gorgeous but I love the relaxed and simple yet understating chic-ness of the one in those tailored pants and nude cotton tank. Those glasses are the perfect icing on the cake!
"Ruffled, ruched, and poufed."
Louis Vuitton never fails to amaze me. Every season it gives a different look, a different feeling, a different kind of Louis Vuitton. The only standstill is its monogram design on the bags. But even that can be altered in such a way that it looks different and new every season. Oh, and look at how Marc made hardcore bondage-like laced-up boots work on the runway!

Here's some pictures the boyfriend took of me in his miniscule room two weeks ago with this Nikon FM film SLR camera. Amateur experience for me (so not cut out to be a model, I know, hahaha), but whatever, thought I could share it with you guys. (: I had fun!

Poor and Miserable.
I have a tendency of wearing a particular something way too many times when I first buy it, so forgive me, haha. Check out my new rings on my right hand. Yea, the wings ring is a little loose but heck that, I like it too much to not buy it. (:

Of all, the one that took my breath away is the toga top with bows at the sleeve! Toga + Nude color + bows = classic trends that will never die = durability. What's not to love? :D
Porn is healthy.
Hand me that gold jacket now.

Ps: I have 4 invites at lookbook to pass on. If any of you are interested, comment with your e-mail address. It's first-come-first-serve! (:
DIY II

So I did a bit of slashing on my denim shorts, cut off a little bit of the seams on the right back pocket and stuck studs on them, immediately after I saw the picture above. I wish my studs were bigger though. And yea, I dropped a stud. Maybe it's because I didn't use fabric glue and also, I wore it out as soon as I finished the diy. Haha, I just can't wait, can I.
Maybe I should cut off the seams right to the end and stick on more studs. What do y'all think? (:
Because models don't get enough attention.
So a month or so ago, I found this website that is dedicated to models. Models' off-duty streetwear.. interviews with models.. short clips about models.. yea you get my drift.
The first thing that caught my eye was this series of short clips titled Spiked Heel that featured my favorite model (coco rocha!). It's pretty silly actually, but if you really want to kill time online, watch it here.
The second clip series that caught my attention is High Heel Boot Camp, featuring model Anastassia Khozissova training new models to walk in stilettos. Watch it here!

Nasty Gal's coset
I am in love with the coset as seen on the models in Nasty Gal! It's so versatile. Check out the number of ways you can wear them. It's too bad I don't think it's on sale. ):

Marc Jacobs Chain detail bouclé jacket, Chanel 2.55, Givenchy Lace Shoe Boots
So today after attending a university openhouse talk with a girlfriend, I headed to Haji Lane with the boyfriend to check out the ohsofickle boutique I heard so much about. Then it started raining heavily, and to think it was so damn sunny yesterday. Grrr, the weather is seriously going berserk.
Last Season's Sparkle
Black has always been a mainstay in fashion, a classic. But it seems like black is explicitly excessive on the runway this season! Theyskens is a genius in this collection, too bad it's his last season for Nina Ricci, I think.

Went for a swim with the boyfriend this morning. That's the Topshop dress that I bought off Vintage Tea. And the beach hat was absolutely appropriate seeing how the scorching sun was beating down on me. It completely blocked out the sun's rays, very very useful. (:

Rue Du Mail
The entire Fall 09 RTW collection was great but the main highlights were their outerwear! Those jackets/blazers/coats/cardis are amazing! I especially NEED this...
...in both colors please!

Cycling-turned-Shopping date
And a big thank you to Vintage Tea for the lovely dress and skirt! I received it in just five days and it's from the UK to Singapore. And yet I haven't received a top I bought online locally one and a half weeks ago. No missing mail please! =/

Hooked.
The make-up and hairstyle of the models in the Prada Fall 2009 collection remind me of Sweeney Todd. Disturbingly creepy.
