Hop, shop, and go.
Advertorial.
Ever faced a problem of wanting to purchase an item on a US merchant website but not being able to because 1. The merchant doesn’t accept your form of credit card payment, or, 2. The merchant doesn’t even ship to your desired destination (in my case, Singapore!)? Been there – pulled my hair, gorged my eyes out, came to terms with agony and misery and the woes of life – done that.
But now, this will never ever ever ever ever EVER happen again with HopShopGo.com! (Why didn't I know about this until now?!) Don’t accept your form of payment? Opt for BuyForMe, where all you have to do is place your orders and HopShopGo will buy them for you. Don’t ship to your desired destination? Just opt for ShipForMe, and when the package arrives at your designated US address (shown on the HopShopGo panel when you sign in), HopShopGo.com will notify you on international shipping costs.
Other than providing these services, HopShopGo.com also put together deals & promotions (where you can save up to 60%!) and shopping ideas, and even a shop directory to your convenience. With more than 300,000 merchants from the US, ranging from fashion, shoes and accessories, to electronics, sports equipment and kids wear… basically this site’s for everyone. And all you have to do is sign in using your paypal account and password, and HopShopGo.com (Paypal – ultimate security as we all know)! As easy as ABC. Currently blogging and shopping at the same time. Oops.
Now you can shop at websites like 6pm.com and bloomingdales.com, sites that doesn't even ship to Singapore and HopShopGo.com will do it for you!

Channel your inner Chloe Sevigny with these items from Bloomingdale's!
All of these - within my reach! Okay, I will stop beating myself up about not finding out about HopShopGo.com sooner. Finally, pay for plane tickets to shop in the US no more! Everything is ready for you with just one click. Trust me, this is personal assistant at its best. There’s no need to lust over apparels and accessories from US anymore. All thanks to HopShopGo.com. Can’t wait to start shopping!!

Advertorial: You again!?
Read this:
Successful PR pro Marni (Kristen Bell) heads home for her older brother’s (Jimmy Wolk) wedding and discovers that he’s marrying her high school arch nemesis (Odette Yustman), who’s conveniently forgotten their problematic past. Then the bride’s jet-setting aunt (Sigourney Weaver) bursts in and Marni’s not so-jet-setting mom (Jamie Lee Curtis) comes face to face with her own high school rival. The claws come out and old wounds are opened in this crazy comedy that proves that not all rivalries are forever.
Okay, maybe not so much the years later part but, haven’t we all met our fair share of bullies/nerds (whom we bullied) back then in school? I’m not sure about you, but I most definitely had. Tables turned though – I was the bully. BUT, my girls and I really weren’t all that mean. We were just mischievous, really. You can also call us immature. Haha!
I remember hanging out with my high school bffs recently and a girlfriend started talking about how her friend knew this girl (let’s call her L) who was from our school. Apparently, L told the friend about how we used to “have fun with” her back in the days. “Have fun” as in taking her shoes off and hiding them on the highest window grill in class. The funny thing was, we couldn’t even remember! I guessed she must really hate us to remember till this day huh, hahaha.
“We're human. Making mistakes is part of what we do. It’s how we go about fixing them that matters.” This line in the movie really tugs at my heartstrings. So maybe… just maybe… I should drop L a call sometime soon? (:

I think I have a bad wisdom tooth growing out and it's hurting my gum. Can't chew properly and my cheek feels swollen. ): Sigh, if this goes on tomorrow I'll have to drop by the dentist's. Crossing my fingers that I don't have to because I'm scared out of my mind!
newshoeshoeshoes
Excitedly dropped by the po to pick up these shoes this morning (despite me aching everywhere. I think I overexerted myself while working out more than I usually do these few days). But for shoes I WILL. Haha. A tad bit small for me and one of the chain (which can be fixed, luckily) fell off. Consequence of buying cheap shoes = bad workmanship. BUT, I'll work it out. :D

It's funny how my body clock wakes me up at 8ish in the morning every single day. And to last until the end of the day.. it actually kills me. Internship starts on the 1st of nov and I have no idea where I will be/want to intern at. Writer internship at a magazine? Or a buyer or a photographer's assistant? Sigh I am currently in internship denial hence the procrastination. Haha.
In need of a cup of coffee. Ditto!

"They are not only lovers, they are also best friends. There has never been any calculation about how much each had invested in the relationship. Theirs is an unconditional love," written by daughter Wei Ling, said of senior minister mentor (who was one of the founding fathers of Singapore), Lee Kuan Yew, and the late Mrs Lee. Reading this makes me grieve Mrs Lee's departure even more because love has always been the most important thing to me. What will I do if the love of my life leaves me? May you rest in peace, Mrs Lee.

The MANGO Fashion Bloggers Contest
*Hi guys, the page is up. Click here then on Vote Here to vote. Thank you very much! (:
I’m currently taking part in a competition hosted by Mango, where bloggers are to create a Mango outfit according to the theme – the seventies. This competition is a mini version of what Mango will be hosting on a worldwide platform on whatshouldiwearbymango.com.
I started with coming up with keywords that collided with the seventies: disco (who can forget the leotards, mini-skirts and John Travolta’s Saturday Night Fever?!), high-waist bottoms, plaids, fringes, maxis, peasant clothing, floral prints, clogs, wavy long hair (yes the sixties hippies continued to dominate fashion through to the seventies), and the list goes on.
I ended up conjuring this outfit…
The prize of the competition will be a 750SGD Mango voucher for the winning blogger, 250SGD and 150SGD Mango vouchers respectively for the second and third runner-ups. And not forgetting the readers... a lucky voter gets to win a 250SGD Mango voucher!
I’d greatly appreciate that if you guys love the outfit I’ve conjured up, please do vote for me here! (: Who knows, you might just walk away with a 250SGD Mango voucher! Imagine how many beautiful pieces of Mango clothing you’ll get to buy. Especially the latest Fall/Winter 2010 collection! Currently hyperventilating now…
As Richard Linklater’s 1993 movie Dazed and Confused (set in 1976) pointed out, “the Fifties were boring, the Sixties rocked, the Seventies—oh my God—they obviously suck, right?” I beg to differ! Just take a look at Mango’s seventies-inspired Fall/Winter 2010 collection.
Check out the use of fabrics and the layering worthy for the hippies. Mango readapted the seventies style and incorporated a modern take into their outfits. With a little bit of twisting and turning, the seventies really weren’t that bad after all. There’s even a hint of disco on the black sheer sequin blouse and dress! Like what you see? I certainly did! I logged on to whatshouldiwearbymango.com and started playing around with mixing and matching the garments. Remember how we girls used to love dressing our Barbie dolls up? With technology means we can play dress up virtually now, no matter the age!
My mum used to shop at Mango. A lot. But before, as a kid, I remember tagging along aimlessly and desperately hoping and praying that she’d grant me my one and only wish of going to the land of paradise – the toy department. Who’d have known that it’s my turn to be a Mango fan? And mind you, my stylish mother still shops at Mango. Well, I’m sure that ten years down the road, my baby girl will be wishing the same thing I did when I was a kid. And then the cycle repeats…
Ps: Please do click here to vote for me! :D Thank y’all so much!
