future fashion now
The thing that irks me most about a fashion show/event is the waiting. We waited about an hour and a half before the show began. But all was forgiven (how can we stay mad at clothes?) when the models started strutting down the runway, featuring looks by local designers Mae Pang, Dzojchen and Max Tan.

Pre-show dinner at Cedele.

With June from SPH Magazines (nice to meet you! (:) and my design friend Maria.

No pictures from the runway because I was too fixated on the looks and the models. Homegrown model Sheila Sim was simply gorgeous and Rebecca Tan was looking incredibly hot in Dzojchen. Thanks to WJ for the invites!

iconemesis iPhone cases

Check out my new iPhone case courtesy of Iconemesis. My former case broke and so it came as a timely coincident that I was asked to feature Iconemesis' iPhone cover! My nails totally matches my new iPhone case. Another coincidence. How cool is that?

Iconemesis works with illustrators to create iPhone cases and has collaborated with well-known artists such as Fifi Lapin, Gemma Correll and Pomme Chan. I had a hard time picking my cover, spoilt for choice!
And so my new iPhone case accompanied me to last weekend's brunch at Graze with Andy after our swim. Food was delectable! I'm not a huge fan of egg bennies and I usually wouldn't order it for myself, but I took a chance this time and boy I did not regret a single bit. Even the bread that was served as entrée was tasty! Would highly recommend brunch time at Graze@Rochester.

dear mom...

Thank you for being the number 1 most ridiculous mother in the world, in good ways and bad. (Hey, nobody's perfect.)
spring awakening
reasons to be fit
I have poor stamina. I can't stay on the threadmill for more than 45 minutes. I have a hard time jogging long distance and I certainly can't run fast. I get tired after doing more than 15 laps at the pool. But I love exercising. Not only is it healthy and keeps me fit, I find it simply therapeutic. How about you?

rain, rain, go away/just come already
This is a super overdue post on part two of my Bali trip (which was in January. Ahhhh... bad, bad blogger) but the consistent wet weather in Singapore is making me depressed. Intended to go for a swim after work today but plan was cancelled because the sky threatened to pour, and the threat has been going on for 3 hours and counting. Annoying. Looking through my Bali pictures and willing myself to teleport there...

Breakfast prepared and served in the villa.

Sea sports here we come!

Thubing. It was horrifying, and I'm a scaredy-cat.

Scratched myself while we were thubing. ):

Parasailing. The view from the top was breathtaking.

Shopping after sea sports. Spent quite some time in this souvenir shop.

Wanted to check out the highly raved Ku De Ta but friends strongly recommended Potato Head instead. Corny name but the place was amazing. A must-go if you ever travel to Bali! Best is to make reservations for dinner then order a drink after and catch the sunset there. I promise the view will be beautiful.

Came back to this, pool filled with rose petals. A pretty sight, but an unsuitable companion to share this with considering the fact that I was with my sister, haha.
Thankful for a getaway trip with a family member nonetheless. Can't wait for another family trip to the states this June!

Two is better than one
Attended the boyfriend's course mate Derrick's wedding at the Regis last Saturday. The matrimonial union between two individuals never fails to warm the heart.

Andy was one of the swordbearers for the wedding. My first time seeing the boy in his No. 1 uniform. (:

Pretty ladies F and QY sitting across the table.

Table 22's entourage of the evening.

his and mine are the same."

April 2012
Pretty much hooked on instagram these days...

En route to Harbourfront.

Simple homemade brunch.

Random beautiful evening.

In a friend, V's A.Wangs during a shoot. Major love! But a tad bit uncomfortable to last the whole day in it.

Modeled for V's project and loving the final photographs.

My project display for presentation on final assessment day. I survived!!

Art directed for a designer friend's degree works. Look at the people crowding around when we were shooting. Proof that Singaporeans are well-known for being kaypoh (nosy).

Brunch dates! <3
OFFICIALLY DONE WITH SCHOOL. (Well, okay, graduation ceremony's in September before I can say "officially" but you get my drift). Am ecstatic to say that I am very satisfied with the feedback and grades given by my assessors. (: Okie dokes... rest for now before I embark onto the next journey of my life!

Parco next Next launch 2012
Attended the Parco next Next launch 2012, a fashion incubator project featuring 18 local fashion labels last Sunday. The local fashion scene is way too understated.

Lazy days
I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.

1. "Becks" ring all the way from Hong Kong from a girlfriend
2. Metallic pumps from Rubi
3. The p.girls (-1) at a friend's 21st
4. Givenchy shark tooth necklace up close
5. Preparing simple breakfast every other day
6. Staying home with Andy <3
7. A huge eeyore spotted at the studio, too cute
8. At the Andy Warhol exhibition
9. Make-up and hair session at S'
10. Photoshoot after photoshoot after photoshoot these days, rather sick and tired of them to be honest
11. Filming day with the ever awesome, M
12. Looking forward to days "wrapped with fun, laughter and good times" after submission day!
underrated

Quote:
"Local fashionista Becks Ko really make us green with envy, because the girl looks good in almost anything. With her edgy flair that is uncommon on the streets of Singapore, it is no wonder that her blog has been climbing up the popularity charts since she launched it in 2008. The talented LASALLE student skillfully and tastefully melds runway trends with street fashion, and pulls off each outfit to a tee. If you’re ever at a loss as to what you should wear (what else is new?), check out Becks’ lookbook for some inspiration."
Shout-out to scene.sg for the feature. Thank you thank you thank you!
oh art is too hard
BUSY BUSY BUSY. This is one of those rare moments where I go on a strictly stress-free date with Andy.

Ps: Sorry if I have not been replying e-mails. Will get on it by this weekend!
