My entry:
My dream destination: Enroute to the Big Apple!
With the eastern culture so heavily influenced by its western counterpart, there is no doubt why New York is THE city I would like to visit at least once in my lifetime. As the essence of the Big Apple flooded my mind this instance, Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” was on surround sound. The Statue of Liberty, the Empire State, yellow cabs, the Yankees, Hip Hop, NBA, Sex and the City, Anna Wintour… they all made up the extravagance of New York City. A concrete jungle where dreams are made of indeed, stirring up the wanderlust in me!
Who I would like to bring: My big sister. Think Sex & the City girly dates!!
… and you’ll receive an e-voucher to redeem a trial pair of contact lenses. Plus you get to choose which range you’d like to have!
Once redeemed, you’ll qualify for Seeing the World!
After the first stage of judging, public voting will take place. Blog, tweet and even facebook about your Dream Trip will increase your chance of winning. Get your mum, dad, sister, brother, cousin… basically anyone to vote for you!
The top 10 entries will win a weekend trip to Bangkok, where you will communicate your experiences through your blog, Twitter and Facebook. The grand prizewinner wins their Dream Trip which includes:
• 2 economy class tickets to destination of choice
• 5 days accommodation
• 1 activity of choice (e.g. attend a concert, go scuba diving, bungee jumping)
Meaning you get to actually customize your own dream trip – from destination to activity to the travel buddy of your choice! Dream becomes reality = you can now die in peace. Hahaha.
Ps: Be as creative and fun as you like! Check out Seeing the World’s Facebook account here for more examples!

Where can I go from here
"You know you've read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little as if you have lost a friend." - Paul Sweeney
I can totally relate to this quote, and it's sad that I haven't felt like that for a long time. In need of a really good book pronto.
New shoes yum!

Bigger man with the bigger heart
I had two hamsters when I was in secondary school and still dating my ex, so clearly I had them named after the both of us. It was during the time when our relationship soured, amusingly that had an impact on the hamsters. They started fighting too, literally. Haha. The rest is history. I think I'm getting myself a hamster again. This time I'll be a better owner.
Internship starts next Monday. Not working for a big company but I'm excited knowing what's in store for me. Project datelines during internship though, it's going to be a busy end of the year!
Armageddon
my dress & sandals cost $17 altogether.
Malacca getaway with my boy
The Malaysian flag was everywhere, very patriotic!
Top: missypixie, bottom: fep, sandals: chocolate schubar
Shoes we got for the boyfriend’s baby cousin’s first month!
We got lost at the start. Could’ve turned right from the hotel and reached the heritage attractions but I insisted on turning left. I even got angry because the boyfriend kept reasoning with me to walk the other direction. Hahaha. Well, I apologized to him after! Not forgetting to add that it’s good exercise. I know, me and my pride!
Whatever it is, it was time well-spent walking around, perspiring under the hot sun, shooting, trying chicken rice balls, shopping, ordering cheap but good room service for supper… and just being together. <3
Hop, shop, and go.

Ever faced a problem of wanting to purchase an item on a US merchant website but not being able to because 1. The merchant doesn’t accept your form of credit card payment, or, 2. The merchant doesn’t even ship to your desired destination (in my case, Singapore!)? Been there – pulled my hair, gorged my eyes out, came to terms with agony and misery and the woes of life – done that.
But now, this will never ever ever ever ever EVER happen again with HopShopGo.com! (Why didn't I know about this until now?!) Don’t accept your form of payment? Opt for BuyForMe, where all you have to do is place your orders and HopShopGo will buy them for you. Don’t ship to your desired destination? Just opt for ShipForMe, and when the package arrives at your designated US address (shown on the HopShopGo panel when you sign in), HopShopGo.com will notify you on international shipping costs.
Other than providing these services, HopShopGo.com also put together deals & promotions (where you can save up to 60%!) and shopping ideas, and even a shop directory to your convenience. With more than 300,000 merchants from the US, ranging from fashion, shoes and accessories, to electronics, sports equipment and kids wear… basically this site’s for everyone. And all you have to do is sign in using your paypal account and password, and HopShopGo.com (Paypal – ultimate security as we all know)! As easy as ABC. Currently blogging and shopping at the same time. Oops.
Now you can shop at websites like 6pm.com and bloomingdales.com, sites that doesn't even ship to Singapore and HopShopGo.com will do it for you!

Advertorial: You again!?
Read this:
Successful PR pro Marni (Kristen Bell) heads home for her older brother’s (Jimmy Wolk) wedding and discovers that he’s marrying her high school arch nemesis (Odette Yustman), who’s conveniently forgotten their problematic past. Then the bride’s jet-setting aunt (Sigourney Weaver) bursts in and Marni’s not so-jet-setting mom (Jamie Lee Curtis) comes face to face with her own high school rival. The claws come out and old wounds are opened in this crazy comedy that proves that not all rivalries are forever.
Okay, maybe not so much the years later part but, haven’t we all met our fair share of bullies/nerds (whom we bullied) back then in school? I’m not sure about you, but I most definitely had. Tables turned though – I was the bully. BUT, my girls and I really weren’t all that mean. We were just mischievous, really. You can also call us immature. Haha!
I remember hanging out with my high school bffs recently and a girlfriend started talking about how her friend knew this girl (let’s call her L) who was from our school. Apparently, L told the friend about how we used to “have fun with” her back in the days. “Have fun” as in taking her shoes off and hiding them on the highest window grill in class. The funny thing was, we couldn’t even remember! I guessed she must really hate us to remember till this day huh, hahaha.
“We're human. Making mistakes is part of what we do. It’s how we go about fixing them that matters.” This line in the movie really tugs at my heartstrings. So maybe… just maybe… I should drop L a call sometime soon? (:

I think I have a bad wisdom tooth growing out and it's hurting my gum. Can't chew properly and my cheek feels swollen. ): Sigh, if this goes on tomorrow I'll have to drop by the dentist's. Crossing my fingers that I don't have to because I'm scared out of my mind!
newshoeshoeshoes
Excitedly dropped by the po to pick up these shoes this morning (despite me aching everywhere. I think I overexerted myself while working out more than I usually do these few days). But for shoes I WILL. Haha. A tad bit small for me and one of the chain (which can be fixed, luckily) fell off. Consequence of buying cheap shoes = bad workmanship. BUT, I'll work it out. :D

It's funny how my body clock wakes me up at 8ish in the morning every single day. And to last until the end of the day.. it actually kills me. Internship starts on the 1st of nov and I have no idea where I will be/want to intern at. Writer internship at a magazine? Or a buyer or a photographer's assistant? Sigh I am currently in internship denial hence the procrastination. Haha.
In need of a cup of coffee. Ditto!

"They are not only lovers, they are also best friends. There has never been any calculation about how much each had invested in the relationship. Theirs is an unconditional love," written by daughter Wei Ling, said of senior minister mentor (who was one of the founding fathers of Singapore), Lee Kuan Yew, and the late Mrs Lee. Reading this makes me grieve Mrs Lee's departure even more because love has always been the most important thing to me. What will I do if the love of my life leaves me? May you rest in peace, Mrs Lee.
