4 years to forever.

- cardboard love
Jacket (which I took off most of the time): missypixie, Dress: from an online spree, Shoes: Charles & Keith, Broken necklace (which I knotted): Topshop
Yesterday was mine and the boyfriend's 4th anniversary. We visited the Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition and I was blown away by the works of Da Vinci. He was a polymath, a scientist, a mathematician, an engineer, an inventor, an anatomist, a painter, a sculptor, an architect, a botanist, a musician and a writer altogether. How can a mere human achieve so much?! He fascinates me.
We had dinner at this bistro restaurant call Sweet Indulgence. The food was good and the dessert, Warm Choco Lava Indulgence, was ORGASMIC. The warm chocolate cake on the right side of the picture is the highlight of this dessert. Melted dark chocolate oozing out when our spoons cut into the cake... god I feel like eating it right now. =/
Ps: I am so shocked that I got an overwhelming (nearing) 1,900 views today!
Pps: I am curious where my readers are from! Singapore? Manila? Sweden? Seriously, please comment and send me some love from wherever you are!!! :D

823 Key Project
Feeling curious about the title of this post? I was, too, when I saw an e-mail with this subject title you know I just had to click on it and check out what it is all about. And then I saw that picture. The first thing that caught my eye? That necklace with THAT key charm. And it's not just any key, it's a one-of-a-kind vintage, handmade skeleton key. Wow! (This is not just a "You have to buy this!" post, it's for a good cause!)
Quote from the 823 Key Project website:
21,398 keys, 26 artist grants, one vision: 823KEYPROJECT. It’s about uniting 823 people—and the work of one enterprising artist—through a common pulse, a thread that links the contribution and purchases of many to the creation of one vision. Through a series of one-of-a-kind, vintage, handmade, skeleton-key necklaces, 823KEYPROJECT will grant musicians and writers, painters and photographers, travelers and revelers the proverbial key to showcase their unique interpretation of the world with an emphasis on authentic and community-minded work.
The money from your purchase of one of the 823KEY neckpieces will be placed into a fund. Once the 823rd key is sold, that money becomes available to artists in the form of a grant. The grant will be awarded to an artist or artists whose vision of a more beautiful world frames a broader perspective of life while redefining art. The 823 keyholders will forever be tied to the project—and one another—not only through monetary contributions and a neckpiece, but also through artist updates, show openings, and project developments.

On another note, I've received my earrings (by Drink Me, Alice) won from the le blog de Sushi giveaway! It's so pretty!!!

Swimsuit?

I've been looking for a pretty swimsuit to wear it as a top but I can't find anything that is cheap and good anywhere. Zimmermann or Emilio Pucci aren't exactly on my budget list, y'know.
Knotty.
Jeans: Topshop, Shoes: Steve Madden, Bag: F21, Necklaces: Diva/Mphosis
Those pair of jeans and my Steve Madden are like siamese twins. Pair them up together and you get legs as long as the Great Wall of China. (I know I am over-exaggerating. Hahaha!)
Check out my new lipstick from Silky Girl!

Was in town on Saturday to check out Orchard Central, Singapore's first vertical and tallest mall, with shops up till the 8th floor excluding rooftops at the 11th and 12th floor. Most shops aren't open yet, so there wasn't much to see. Didn't really like the idea of it being a vertical mall, I get bored of traveling up and up the escalators. Haha.

Thursday night.
The three ladies that you see in these pictures.. they are my bestest girlfriends. Whenever and wherever I am with them, I can be myself. <3
Bows, bows, bows
On Wednesday, I accompanied my cousin to check out a number of bridal boutiques and try on some of the wedding gowns. I gave my take on her choices, made some choices for her, and helped her change in and out of the gowns. What I got after that were a free dinner and a free ride home, but most importantly, the thrill of helping her choose her wedding gown (a once in a lifetime thing). I was so excited when she asked me along and it was so much fun. We were spoilt for choices! I felt like trying on the gowns myself too, hahaha.
I'm so happy for her and envious of her at the same time. She never had the best of everything, and now it's like everything is falling into place. She loves her job, loves what she's doing, and she's found the one (not just anyone, the 100% RIGHT one, I am extremely sure of that) that she is going to spend the rest of her life with. Being contented like that - that is the most important thing for me.

Off to dress up for a night out with the girlfriends!
Weather story.
Dress: Zara, Shoes: Gift from sister from Taiwan, Bag: RL, Necklace: Mphosis
I have said this sooooo many times but the weather is seriously getting on my nerves! (Actually, everything is starting to get on my nerves lately.) It's like the sun is playing hide and seek, disappearing into the clouds and then reappearing again. The sky was pretty cloudy when I woke up this morning, but the sun decided to come out and hang around a bit after I brushed my teeth, so I decided to head out for a quick swim (as usual). Then the sun disappeared for a while.. reappeared again for a while.. then it disappeared and the sky got really dark and cloudy. After my shower, Mr. Sun came out and play again. Grrrr. Headed over to Cityhall to run an errand after that. And yea, it started to rain. -.-

This pair of vintage 80's floral laced-up Tapestry boots has a more feminine edge compared to the floral version of Doc Martens. I've always loved that pair of Doc Martens but now I want this instead of that!
Nerves.
Intended to drop by Haji Lane's regular Sunday Market today but I changed my mind at the last minute. Who has the motivation to shop when you have no cash to spare? Window-shopping causes depression, it's a known fact. Well, at least to me!

I've been using my cousin's bf's Canon D500 ever since I borrowed from him for the Macau trip. Now I can't bear to part with it and return it to him. =/ Picked up a nude color jacket and a beaded belt from the Salvation Army today. Oh, and 3 pairs of earrings from Diva at SGD3 each!
What's in my bag.
From clockwise: M by MJ wallet (a gift from the bf as a advanced 4th anniversary present. Thanks baby! (:), Ipod Nano, Antiseptic wipes (started using this due to the recent H1N1 medicial situation), a pack of tissue, Canon Ixus 70, Clorets sugar-free mint, Nivea lip balm, a comb and my Nokia E71 phone.
Finally a what's in my bag post! Nothing interesting but these are my daily essentials whenever I head out.
Anyhow, Lynn (so sorry if it's not your name!! it's in your e-mail address so I figured it is. :D) tagged me with this "award". Thank you so much dear! A nice and friendly fellow Singaporean blogger I deem as a friend (if you don't mind, heh) is exactly what I need in blogosphere! (:
"This award is bestowed upon a fellow blogger whose blog’s content or design is, in the giver’s opinion, brilliant.“When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to the said person so everyone knows she/he is real. Choose a minimum of seven blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have seven friends. Show the seven random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with Honest Weblog. Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten honest things about yourself. Then pass it on!”
1. I splurge on shoes. I would willingly spend $200 on a pair of shoes than a bag/dress/shirt/whatever!
2. I need french fries in my life! My mum used to fry a big plate for me as a snack every few days! Now I'm facing the consequences. =/
3. I worry too much, especially about my future. I think about it every single day it makes me sick.
4. I collect "fashion language statements" to improve my ability to write (fashion journalism), just like in secondary school when my english teacher made us keep a jottle book to write down idioms to aid in our composition writing. Whenever I read a fashion magazine/blog and I see a statement that inspires me, I'll note it down.
5. I think I'm good at angles, seeing how much thinner I look in photographs when in reality, it's not always the case.
6. One of my favorite pastimes is reading quotes, any kinds of quotes. Quotes inspire me.
7. I feel that I look thinner after exercising each time. It's all in the mind, I know. Haha. I just can't help it!
There! Oops I can only think of 7, heh!
